Re-Roofing & New Roofs

When a roof is past repair, we strip it back and recover it — or fit a brand-new roof — using quality slates or tiles, fresh felt, treated battens and proper ventilation.

A roof built to last decades

There comes a point where patching an old roof is throwing good money after bad. If yours is leaking in several places, shedding tiles every winter or simply worn out, a full re-roof is the sound long-term investment — and it transforms the look of the whole house.

We strip the old covering, check and repair the timbers, then recover the roof with a modern breathable membrane, new battens and your choice of slate or tile. It's done to last, and done to keep the Forth Valley weather firmly outside.

What a re-roof includes

  • Full strip of the old slates, tiles and felt
  • Inspection and repair of rafters, sarking and timbers
  • New breathable roofing membrane and treated battens
  • Quality natural slate or concrete/clay tiles of your choice
  • New ridge, hip and verge details, bedded and pointed
  • Fresh lead flashing and improved roof ventilation

Re-Roofing FAQs

How much does a new roof cost in Falkirk? +
A full re-roof is priced on the size and pitch of the roof, the covering you choose (slate or tile) and the condition of the timbers underneath. We survey the roof for free and give you a detailed written quote so you know exactly what's included before you commit.
How long does it take to install a new roof? +
Most domestic re-roofs take a few days to a week depending on the size of the property and the weather. We'll give you a realistic timescale with your quote and keep the site tidy and secure throughout.
What are the signs that I need a new roof? +
Recurring leaks, lots of slipped or cracked tiles, sagging, daylight in the loft, or a roof that's simply reached the end of its life are all signs. If patch repairs are becoming a regular expense, re-roofing is often better value in the long run — we'll give you an honest opinion either way.
How long should a roof last before it needs replacing? +
A well-laid slate roof can last 80–100 years, and a good tiled roof 40–60, though flashings, ridges and felt often need attention sooner. If yours is near the end of its life, we'll tell you plainly rather than sell you a roof you don't need yet.
